These easy chicken skewers are the perfect party food that can be cooked on a griddle or barbecue.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 ‏cup (125 ml) chicken stock
  • 1/3 ‏cup (85 ml) sake
  • 1/2 ‏cup (125 ml) mirin
  • 1/2 ‏cup (125 ml) soy sauce
  • 2 ‏tablespoons sugar

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the sauce is reduced to half original volume. The sauce keeps refrigerated for up to 1 month. Use this sauce for brushing when grilling chicken yakitori.
