This Chinese sauce makes a great dressing for many different dishes. You can use it on meat, a salad dressing and even steamed vegetables or tofu based dishes.
The sauce is easy to make and can be stored in your refrigerator for an extended period of time. Spice up your Asian (or even Western) dishes with this traditional Chinese ginger garlic sauce.
- 4 in (10 cm) ginger, peeled and sliced
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon oil
Process the ginger and garlic in a food processor until fine. Combine it with the remaining ingredients and store in a covered jar. Shake just before serving.
